Jeon Jong-seo (전종서), born on July 5, 1994, in Seoul, South Korea, is a South Korean actress acclaimed for her compelling performances in both Korean and international cinema. She is also known by her English name, Rachel Jun.

Early Life and Education

Jeon was raised as an only child. Her family relocated to Canada during her childhood, where she attended middle school. She later returned to South Korea, graduating from Anyang Arts High School. Initially majoring in film at Sejong University, she left her studies in 2018 to pursue acting full-time.

Career Highlights

Jeon made a remarkable debut in 2018 with Lee Chang-dong’s psychological thriller Burning, where she portrayed Hae-mi. Despite being a newcomer, her performance earned critical acclaim and several award nominations.​

In 2020, she starred in the thriller The Call, earning the Baeksang Arts Award for Best Actress in Film. She then appeared in the English-language film Mona Lisa and the Blood Moon (2021) and the Netflix series Money Heist: Korea – Joint Economic Area (2022), playing the role of Tokyo.

In 2024, Jeon took on leading roles in the historical drama Queen Woo, portraying the titular queen of Goguryeo, and the romantic comedy series Wedding Impossible.

Personal Life

Jeon is represented by Andmarq in South Korea and United Talent Agency in the United States. She has been in a relationship with director Lee Chung-hyun, with whom she collaborated on The Call.
